A musical satire, The Book of Mormon London lampoons organized religion, the conventional musical theatres along with consumerism and the state of economy in one of the remote corners of the Dark Continent. Elder Price has led the mission to convert people into Mormonism, a staunch devout, he has an impressive personality. While Elder Cunningham is an absolute contrast, he is an irresponsible robust rogue and a complete weirdo.

It was Orlando where Price had always wished to go for a mission but breaking all his dreams he is sent to Uganda along with Cunningham. Even before they could get a feel about the place they have landed in, goons of the local warlords have robbed them on gun-point. Villagers while greeting them, narrate their daily mundane that has to find its way through their struggle with AIDS, poverty, famine and war.

They are informed by their fellow missionaries that they haven’t been able to convert even a single villager to Mormonism so far. While the duo is upset with the cultural difference they have witnessed, a progressive Price, who was always committed to do something better, abandons the mission in between. What follows on, if they reunite again or not and whether they could accomplish their mission is something we won’t tell you here. Catch the fun that is going on at the Prince of wales Theatre with your Book of Mormon London tickets to unfold the climax.

Songs that accompany the plot of the hilarious attire include Spooky Mormon Hell Dream, I Am Africa, Baptize Me, All American Prophet and Tomorrow Is A Latter Day. The musical has been brought to the Prince of Wales Theatre London by its original creative team.
